Are you looking to get healthy and help raise funds for the trust? Our Heads On charity are challenging you to walk, run or jog to help them raise vital funds for Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Why not sign up with your work team, family or friends, or just do something great for your physical and mental health and have a great day out in the heart of the South Downs?
NHS Charities across Sussex are coming together to launch Walk for Wards 2022. Led by our charity Heads On, they are participants to lace up their trainers and take on a 5km or 10km route to raise vital funds for the NHS Charity that means the most to them. Rachael Duke, Head of Charity at Heads On, said: “The last two years have been like no other. Patients and staff have all felt the pressures in the way our services are delivered as well as in our personal lives. NHS Charities enable the health service Trusts they support to go above and beyond what would otherwise be possible. We are thrilled to be coming together with the other NHS Charities to deliver such a special event and we look forward to welcoming participants to celebrate and support their NHS services in Sussex.” The NHS charities who are asking you to support them are; Heads On, East Sussex NHS charity, Sussex Community NHS Charity and SASH Charity. You can choose who you fundraise for, or even fundraise for them all!
The Walk for Wards event is taking place on Saturday 11 June at Glynde Place, a rural estate hidden in the South Downs. Registration is £10 for an adult and £5 for a child. We are also encouraging families to lace up their trainers and get running together! Families of 2 adults and 2 children can sign up as a family for £25. Once you are fully registered, you will receive a t-shirt and an eco-friendly medal when you cross the finish line.
