What do we do?

The focus of the team's work is on using, and continuously developing, performance management and associated data reporting and analysis, to help the Trust (and the wider NHS) to:

  • identify areas of best practice
  • focus on continuous improvement and delivering improved outcomes
  • take action to improve patient care
  • ensure the activities of the Trust are in line with the overall organisational strategy and the NHS Long Term Plan.

In order to achieve this work, the team has strong technical business intelligence skills that include advanced data analytics, expert data visualisation and reporting, and acute attention to detail.  Equally important skills within the team are the ability to digest and translate strategic goals and visions, to influence and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders and operational colleagues and to persevere to achieve goals.
