78 Crawley Road is an adult mental health unit in Horsham, providing high quality rehabilitation care focused on recovery.

Our 24-bed Enhanced rehabilitation facility is a modern purpose-built facility that provides mental health care for those who require a period of enhanced recovery support. This care is aimed at helping people achieve their own individual aspirations, and to live a meaningful and rewarding life that is as independent as possible.

Service users regularly experience stigma for both mental health and offending history, so our role is to develop trusting and safe relationships which balance being collaborative and supportive with sound risk management skills.

No two days are the same; while we have structure and set boundaries, there is always a need to be able to adapt to what is a dynamic ward environment.

The unit comprises of two types of accommodation: An enhanced rehabilitation clinical unit: - Consisting of eight individual rooms with en-suite facilities, two communal lounges, shared kitchen and a nursing office 16 individual one-bedroom flats: - Each of our residents has their own front door and key to their flat, so they experience independent living, with the support of a multi-disciplinary mental health team on site. This allows the residents to continue to receive hospital care while managing greater levels of responsibility and developing ongoing daily living skills, for up to two years.
