The Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service provides free, NHS community-based mental health services for people living in the city.
Led by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and working in partnership with Southdown and YMCA DownsLink Group, our service provides support and evidence-based psychological therapies for children aged 4 years and above, young people and adults with mild to moderate mental health needs. It works closely with a range of services in the city to ensure people can access the right help for them. It values user feedback and co-design and benefits from working closely with its own Adult Service User Steering Group and YMCA's participation groups.
The Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service supports and treats people via a range of methods. Currently we offer most patients telephone and video appointments. A limited amount of face to face support is being offered in both the Children and Young People (CYP) and adult services at various community venues. Small group courses are currently available online or in socially distanced locations across the city.
