The Paediatric Psychiatric Liaison PPLT Team is a new team which has been commissioned to work within HHFT (Hampshire Hospital Foundation Trust). The team is based across two sites, the Royal County Winchester Hospital and Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital. The team will be based in the Emergency Departments and work between the hours of 8am-10pm 7 days a week.
This is an exciting new development and is commissioned to work with young people presenting at hospital with a mental health crisis, supporting them to be assessed and discharged (where appropriate) in a timely way. The team will work alongside hospital and youth work colleagues to ensure that young people have a seamless service.
The team is led by a Modern Matron and a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. The team works closely with the Hampshire CAMHS i2i Service and Community CAMHS teams.
