Langley Green is a state-of-the-art hospital in Crawley, West Sussex for people with acute mental health problems. The hospital has two acute care working age wards, one integrated working age/older adults ward, one psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) and a 'Place of Safety' suite called The Haven.

Amber Ward is a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and is a specialist ward for people experiencing significant amounts of distress. This distress can sometimes be expressed at risk to yourself or others in the form of aggression or violence. The PICU environment is intended to be secure, so the ward will be locked and the garden is secure. People admitted to Amber Ward are generally detained on a Section of the Mental Health Act 1983. Amber Ward has twelve bedrooms all of which are en-suite with toilet and shower.
Coral ward is an acute ward for adults. Every room is single and en-suite. The ward has access to a garden, includes a lounge, a dedicated quiet room, as well as a women’s lounge. These are also quieter areas for sitting and relaxing.
Jade ward is an acute ward for adults. Every room is single and en-suite. The ward has access to a garden, includes a lounge, a dedicated quiet room, as well as a women’s lounge. These are also quieter areas for sitting and relaxing.
Opal is a mixed sex ward for older people. Every room is single and en-suite. The ward has access to a garden, includes a lounge, a dedicated quiet room, as well as a women’s lounge. These are also quieter areas for sitting and relaxing.
The Haven is a dedicated, mental health crisis assessment facility located on the Langley Green Hospital site in Crawley. It is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and provides support and assessment for adults over the age of 18 in East Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton and Hove, who are experiencing a mental health crisis The Haven is run by a team of dedicated NHS staff and provides: - A 24/7 mental health crisis facility - An alternative to attending A&E for people experiencing a mental health crisis - An alternative to hospital admission The Haven is not a walk-in service, assessment is by professional referral only.
