
We are the people function. Our workforce directorate is responsible for the wellbeing, safety, comfort, motivation, care and support of every person under the employment of the Trust.
We are a diverse and skilled central function, providing a service across the whole Trust. We partner with our teams and services across East Sussex, West Sussex and Hampshire to support with their people plans, goals and challenges. From support with wellbeing and providing a first-class working environment, to assisting with recruiting new people into our teams, to working through any employee relations cases.
Due to a number of exciting and necessary expansions in our clinical services across the Trust, our overall workforce is growing over the coming months and years. Our workforce directorate is growing to reflect this and to allow us to continue to provide an excellent people service to our teams.

Our employee relations team are fundamentally responsible for the relationship between Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust as an employer and our employees, or as we prefer to refer to them; our people. We work with people and teams/ services to ensure that everyone feels comfortable, supported and empowered to do their job to the best of their ability.
Our workforce supply team is responsible for bringing new people into the Trust, filling vacancies, topping up pipelines and creating opportunities for excellent people to join us. We are the recruitment function. We are split into numerous smaller teams including performance and reporting, temporary staffing, recruitment and onboarding, eRostering, Talent Attraction and Acquisition, Future Workforce and more...
We are the workforce team supporting our medical staff. We support our doctors and psychiatrists with all HR and recruitment related topics. We are a small and well-rounded team with experience across employee relations, recruitment and wellbeing. Plus, we have the support of our colleagues in the wider workforce directorate.
