While working at Sussex Partnership, our staff spend each day improving the lives of our users. Whether via patient-facing work or behind the scenes, ensuring the Trust provides the best care possible. Our staff do fantastic work, so we believe that the working environment, benefits and rewards we offer should show our thanks. While working at SPFT, we want you to feel supported with whatever life throws your way. Our rewards and benefits cover three main areas;

Lifestyle

Work life balance is vital to make sure your able to be your best self. At Sussex Partnership, we offer a range of ways for you to keep that perfect balance:

Location - Working at one of our locations, you won't be stuck in the hustle and bustle of the city. All of our offices are located near the picturesque coast and countryside. You can't sit on the beach or have a sheep as a friend on your lunch break in central London! This also is great on your days off. If you want to get into the fresh air and wilderness, the quiet countryside is only a short trip away. Whatever you're into, there is something here for you to enjoy.

Generous holiday entitlement - We know that stepping away from work to reset and recharge is hugely beneficial. This is why when you join us in one of our fantastic full-time roles, you receive a generous holiday entitlement, giving you time to focus on the things that matter to you most.

Flexible working- We understand how the workplace has changed in 2024, which is why we offer flexible working to staff. We know that a positive work/ life balance brings huge health-related benefits. If it works for you and works for the role, we'll do our best to make it happen.

Your Financial Wellbeing

We understand that, at the moment, every penny counts. This is why we offer staff a range of ways to help their money go further:

Cycle to work scheme - We offer a cycle to work scheme for permanent staff members along with a bike loan scheme. The bike loan scheme provides you 25% off bikes and cycling equipment (Payments will be taken from your salary the month after you apply). The Cycle to Work scheme allows you to buy a new bike tax-free, making huge savings, or you can loan the bike from us with the option to buy it later. The scheme is open to staff twice yearly in April and September.

Discounted gym membership - If you are a self-proclaimed gym addict, the Trust also offers staff who work for us discounted gym membership from council-run gyms based in Sussex and Hampshire. You will also have access to free health Apps and free online health and fitness classes; to help you keep fit even if you can't get to the gym.

Whether in a patient-facing role or one of our great people working behind the scenes, you can apply for the card. The Blue Light Card offers many discounts online and on the high street through a physical Blue Light Card. The Blue Light Card is accepted at thousands of locations, and they update their website with new deals regularly, so check back often and see what you can save on!

Health and Wellbeing

Our staff give 100% each day to support our users. However, not giving yourself time to reset and recharge is a fast track to burnout. This is why we offer staff a range of ways to improve their wellbeing:

Wellbeing workshops - Our two main courses focus on mindfulness and resilience. "What is mindfulness?" I hear you ask. Mindfulness training can help you find balance through life's ups and downs and respond more skilfully when faced with challenges. Practising it can help you learn to pay attention in the present moment and begin to notice habits of the mind that might not be helpful. Following this, we also offer resilience workshops. Open to all staff, the workshops help you to develop everyday strategies to help you to feel resourced and resilient, enabling you to thrive and not just survive.

Staff counselling - At Sussex Partnership, we understand that our staff deal with a range of emotions daily, so we need to care for our staff's mental health as much as we care for our users. This is why we offer staff support via our Employee Assistance Programme. The programme provides staff access to wellbeing and counselling via; telephone, writing, online and face-to-face meetings. The programme also allows you to remain anonymous; our practitioners want you to feel comfortable and safe to share whatever is on your mind.

Along with everything listed above, you'll be joining a team and a Trust that actively invests in and supports you in achieving your career goals. We offer a range of training and development opportunities to help you train and develop the skills that are important to you.
